For the past 4 weeks I have questioned whether I truly wanted to be a teacher or not...and this week I have realized again that of course I do!!! I really do love teaching. I think the student teaching aspect of it gets old, but it's not the same as actually being "the teacher."

I'm leaving Arkadelphia this weekend for my birthday. It's time.

So, I saw the musical WICKED yesterday, and it was the best thing that has happened to me in quite a while.  Let me just say that before I saw this musical I would sometimes get quite annoyed at people who sang the soundtrack 24/7, (you know who you are), but now I totally understand why people are in love with this musical.  It was fantastic!!! I watched all three hours of it in awe. So, for those of you who have not yet seen it...you must!!!

This Saturday is my 23rd birthday. I have decided that 23 is the age where you start to feel old. Time is quickly passing.

And, no, I will definately not be getting engaged anytime soon since the only males I ever see are fourth and fifth grade boys.  Some of them do seem to be in awe of me, however, so I guess I could always wait....I'm joking.

I am oh, so excited about Tiger Tunes next weekend. I know that everyone in the show is extremely stressed, but it will all come together like it always does.

It was good to see some friends this past weekend.  I miss you all very much, and we will have to get together after tunes is over.

So, I know I pretty much quit the xanga world, but what can I say? I'm a teacher now...for free!!!

Yes, I am currently student teaching at Lake Hamilton Intermediate School in the Hot Springs area.  Fourth and fifth graders!!! Yes, at first I was not crazy about the idea of teaching little kids.  Not that I don't like kids, but I have just never wanted to teach them. I've always wanted to teach high school. But...it hasn't been so bad. In fact, the little fourth and fifth graders are growing on me and they love me. They think I'm pretty and they love my clothes and they tell me I'm going to make a great music teacher, so I think I'm good for now. However, I'm anxious to see what teaching on the high school level is like. I'll be student teaching at Lake Hamilton High in 4 wks.

Being a teacher is not easy. In fact, it takes a lot of time and patience. It also requires much love toward your students. It is indeed, a ministry. Sometimes I doubt whether I really want to teach or not, but when a kid looks me in the eye and tells me that I am  going to make a great music teacher, it makes me think twice.

Went to Miss Teen AR. It was kinda long, wait, WAY long, but I only went to see my dear friend, Justin sing on the court of honor. And he did great.

I'm VERY dissastisfied with the results of Miss Teen Arkansas.

I just started Spanish 2 and I hate it. I really HATE spanish.
